Job Description
YWCA Madison is seeking candidates for the position of Chief Executive Officer. The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) provides strategic leadership to YWCA Madison’s audacious mission and guides operational and programmatic excellence. With a focus on eliminating racism and empowering women, and by implementing the strategic goals of the organization, the CEO leads program, fund, and community development. The CEO empowers and mentors staff, and provides them with the opportunity to continue to make a difference in the lives of individuals in the Madison community. Working with the Board and staff of 70 people, the CEO will manage an annual operating budget of $4.5M, comprised of diverse revenue streams. This leader will create opportunities for staff to generate and vet innovative ideas which will positively impact the sustainability of the organization. Externally, this individual will be a visible, community-involved face of the organization, fostering collaborations with community stakeholders, including donors, and public and private partners.
The ideal candidate will bring significant and proven leadership skills developed through experience in a senior management role. Candidate’s experience can include work in a non-profit, for-profit, or government organization.
