|Current position is with Dane County Administration Risk Management. The Eligible List created will be used to fill future vacancies within for the next 6 months.
Starting hourly rate of $25.31 with further increases to $27.51, plus excellent benefits including fully paid dental and HMO health insurance premiums for full time employees. The County will also provide contributions towards POS health insurance premiums, retirement, and short/long term disability. Dane County will also provide 6 weeks of paid parental leave for birth or adoption of a child.

|EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:|
|Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school and three years of general clerical experience, including computer experience using word processing programs such as Word, Excel and databases; must have a minimum of three years experience processing, charting, maintaining and monitoring insurance claims, either liability and/or worker's compensation. Must have subrogation experience working with insurance companies and/or individuals. Preference given to those with database experience, particularly insurance databases.
|KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:|
Knowledge of modern office procedures and practices; knowledge of procedures, practices, state law and contract provision affecting compensation, liability and subrogation cases; effective oral, written and phone communication skills; ability to tactfully explain the denial of claims, ability to maintain confidentiality in dealing with sensitive matters; ability to interpret and apply regulations, policies and procedures; ability to keep complex financial and statistical records; and ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with co-workers and the public; ability to lift a minimum of 35# unassisted and to sit for extended periods of time.
